F&EL listing

It has been well established that around 80% of the members have and
use internet access. Like Lee, I can remember when the only exposure
I had to killies was the BNL in paper form, this is clearly changing.
For the time being, I see no reason to discontinue this approach, we
are, after all, a club dedicated to the propagation of killies which
should be available to all members. In time this will no doubt change.

I find Aquabid a bit outside my comfort zone. As a member of the KCC
and eluding to what John Alegre and others have had to say, how am I
to know I have a particular "location" or even the correct species.
As Wright mentioned, it can happen within the AKA too, but is infinitely
less likely. The member body is certainly more concerned for conservation
and accuracy than a seller outside this group may be. If it is the practice
to purchase only from a known breeder, then we have to look long and hard
at drawing these listers away from an eBay type of atmosphere to an AKA site
with a COE in place. If nothing else, it can keep the percentage of proper
identification at a more acceptable level.
