RE: New AKA web site

Leo,

WebTV version 2.7 claims to be Javascript compatible. I don't have any
experience with the device but their compatibility list includes it.

There are many PC video cards with video out that can use a TV as a monitor.
Many laptops come with video out, too. Using a standard computer and a
television could give you the best of both worlds, a large screen and the
ability to utilize the internet fully.

Regards,

Tucker

Barry.....I hope that I misunderstood what you are trying to tell us/me
that WebTv will probably not be compatible with the "New
Site"......again we are just written off as too bad,,,,so sad ! I can't
use the
member's only site now, even with a password as WebTv is NOT java script
enabled. All was fine before the previous change but somewhere in the
change for progress, I was left in the lurch again!

As I explained previously the reason I use WebTv is because I have
diabetes with the attendant poor eyesight. WebTv allows me to use a 27"
tv as a computer monitor rather than a 17" or 19" screen. This is a heck
of a lot easier to read than the smaller ones. I can also use a IR
keyboard and do not have to crouch next to the screen.

Hopefully I have misunderstood your statement about the user friendly
new site. If I am wrong then I apologise
in advance , if not it seems that I am getting "progressed out the
door". If killie
talk is no longer accessible and the sight is not available to me, then
the ONLY thing that my AKA dues provide for me is the BNL (for however
long that it is sent via snail mail) and the JAKA. I'm not bitter but
it seems that I keep getting the short end of the stick in the name of
progress.

Say it isn't so.............please.
