Hi Adam,
since the fish you are talking about come from my 
fish room, I think I have to clear things up, i.e. 
tell you my version of the story:

I got these as F. gar. 'Makurdi'. Makurdi is the 
official location. Roger Langton saw them and 
said: "these are the real original blue ones". 
That's why I told you they are 'blue'. To my 
knowledge there is no official distinction
between 'red' and 'blue' in Makurdi, but I might 
be wrong – Roger, if you are listening, could you
please give us your thoughts on this issue....
