Re: TDS Question

Hi Lee, The unit I got is a Kent TFC24GPD full unit. It has the charcoal filter. Agreat buy of of Ebay. $80. Looks to be new. The own claimed to only have run 100gal. thru it. He even shipped with the membrain still wet. It works 260 in and 10 out(tds)
I just have to decide to mix it with my tap or add to get 150 ppm and 7.0. I will probably use lower tds for my aphyosemions. Thanks, Jim Randall aka 08169, bka 525-01

Jim,
The RO unit will not remove chlorine if it does not have a charcoal
filter. Any ionic reaction like sodium thiosulfate or Amquel with chlorine
will produce ionic byproducts which will increase your conductivity.
