attn Tony K. Re: Plastic Boxes Styrene

I have been thinking of using these for a while now, but have yet to find a good way to filter them. What method do you use? All sponge filters I have seen are too tall, and all box/corner type filters I have seen can inhale fry. Thanks

I recently bought eight 1.25 gallon clear plastic critter tanks for $ 2.39 each. The tanks are Penn-Plax New World Habitat "Critter Keeper" type with full lid, handle and an access trap door. After reading Wright's comments I noticed that these tanks are made in....."Thailand exclusively to Penn-Plax engineering specifications".
I like them a lot and have been using them to raise up fry. I have them planted and filtered, etc.

Now I'm wondering if they will become brittle with time. Maybe they are not a good deal??

TIA for any comments Wright or others would care to make.
