Re: splendopleure
Hi Tim, Did you get any hits on this? Rudolf Pohlmann has a splendopleure Penda Mboko 2001 listed, but not K6. I wonder if it is the same fish. I do know that there is no Penda Mboko location at all listed on the census we did in 2000, which leads me to believe that there may have been only one collection in this area. The SPP Penda Mboko 2001 was collected by Horste Gresens in April 2001. Translated from German with the on-line translator, here is what Rudolf has for location:
"Discovery site data of Horste Gresens: One reaches Penda Mboko from Yoke. With the seilfaehre one sets over the Mungo River. One already is in the national CDC Oelpalmplantage. With the car the place is fast reached. There are 6 Camp?s in the plantage. In the proximity of these Camps small brooks flow. In 5 biotopes of this plantage I could prove this fish."
Rudolf Pohlmann would definitely be the person to ask. HTH, Ron
