Re: algae
Hey All, the algae problem, if it is not what Edd had, may be an indicator of
low reduction - oxidation potential. I am not a chemist, but it sounded from
the discription that the problem was blue-green algae, which thrives in the
low redox environment. If that is what it is, then a change in water quality,
not saying her water is bad, needs to take place through more frequent water
changes and an increase in water circulation. This problem, blue-green algae,
does not have to be blue green in color. Most algae eating fish that I have
had will not eat it. If that is what the problem is, then she may have to
clean that tank out, circulate the water more, and see if the good algae
