Re: Copyright, courtesy and ...



Ron, I am not a computer person. I am lucky enough to get this far writing to 
you. I wondered about something, if is possible to protect the photo as some 
employers will protect a file or spreadsheet so empolyees can only look at 
the data. The example that I can think of is our load manifest at work. We 
can change a container location on the sheet, but we cant change the field 
that the item resides in on the screen. Maybe we could have a site that has a 
photo with the propper credit given that will not transmit or be changed when 
being used by a member as a resource. That is, if it is possible to see the 
fish on the screen and not be able to print it or reproduce it. If the 
hobbyist wants to use it in an article, he or she can have it sent to the 
person compliling the article. So, I geuss my question is: can a field, if a 
photo, be prevented from being printed or altered even if it on the screen?
