Re: The photos I used from the AKA site.
That sounds like a load of bullsh*t to me. I am a 17-year-old highschool student who understood the concept of Copyrighting in 3rd grade when all my fellow classmates and I were told what that little C meant. It is just common sense, I am certain that somewhere along you life someone told you what that little C was and what copyright meant. Artwork of different types has been being copyrighted for over a hundred years, I seriously doubt that you have never ran into this subject before. You say bigger and better things, you must have not read the previous email explaining everything people like Tony T. go through to get beautiful pictures like that of their fish, and what can happen if the picture gets used all over the internet. And last time I checked, as they taught us in school, legally the owner of that picture can sue you for using it wothout his permision. There was someone else's name on the picture and either the word Copyright or that little C, it was only obvious. !
I would start looking before I leap if I were you.

I did appoligize for using the photo. Do you think reading somebodys tantrum over a photo wouldn't alienate someone? I know several people who are turned off by a few people on here acting in an unfriendly way. Ron, sorry you are angry. Don't you think there are bigger and better things to concern yourself over?
Again, sorry for using the one photo. I should have taken the time to review the AKA policy, and I'm not aware of copywrite laws as I'm not a photographer. Lets drop the stealing and law breaking chatter. If you feel like writting back don't bother. I got the point several days ago. My point here is that there are politer ways of trying to get your point across.

You didn't know it was wrong? I was born at night, but not last night. I believe that when you copied and pasted that photo, deep down you knew you were stealing someone elses property. You may think it was "something so small" because it was not you who took great pains to take that photo. How long do you think the photographer worked on getting that pic? How long do you think they sat in front of a tank adjusting lights, camera settings, etc. etc. before the right shot was exposed on film "for that one picture"? What if the person that took that shot wanted to sell it to TFH, only to hear the editor tell him, "sorry, that photo is all over the web, we're looking for new stuff". Is it a small matter then? We may have alienated you, but I seriously doubt we alientat!
ed anyone else by complaining about!
so
meone ripping off pictures on the web. Anyone that has ever put a photo on the web takes this kind of thing very seriously. In fact, what actually happens is that good photographers stop putting their photos on the web, decreasing the chances that you will find the particular picture you are looking for. Also, it's considered good netiquette to sign your emails.
