Basic questions on care and feeding

Greetings! I'm new to the list so please be kind.

I recently aquired my first killies, a aphyosemion striatum pair. I've got them
in a 2 gallon bowl with some java moss and water changes everyday. They've been
spawning and I've collected some of the eggs into a smallish container with some
anti-fungus stuff. My problem is that i'm not quite convinced that they're
eating. I tried black worms, no interest, grindals, nothing. flake, *maybe*
but they won't eat it if i'm looking. I just tried some dried tubifex and they
nibbled, but are more interested in swimming around and through the java moss
than anything else. Is there anything else I could/should be doing for them
that i'm not? I've read the beginer's guide already. Any info would be great,
I'm eargerly awaiting the hatching of their first eggs.
