Fp. filamentosus "Singapore"
Hello all
A while back (early last year or
towards the end of 2001) a friend
imported some killies form Singapre
via the local pet shop. Of these
the Fp. filamentosus he brought in
have got quite firmly established.
They are stunning, big and bright
beautiful fish.
From what we hear this strain is a
recent collection performed by some
Japanese or somebody. The fish then
landed up in the hands of a Thai or
Malay fish farmer (from what I am
told there are no commercial
killifish breeders in Singapore).
Does anyone know of any recent
collections?
The fish not resemble the 'aquarium
strain' as seen in the litrature
and are very differnet to the
Ouidah strain. It most closely
resembles the 'Benin' strain as
seen on Tim Addis' webpage.
Any ideas?
Kind regards
