Perhaps only in California. I have had descendants from a 4+ inch fish that 
was entered by the late Dr. Royal B. Ingersoll in the AKA Convention a few 
years ago. In my smaller tanks under my conditions they didn't exceed 3 
inches. Maybe it isn't just the tank size.
