I hate to disagree with the guru, but that all depends. I measured a
deceased male that lived out almost his entire life in a 2.5G drum bowl
with his lady friend. He died at 4.1".

I believe Sue Bunte raised a Barra de Sao Joao to more than that in a
similar tank. As I recall, he was 4.25" long.

Both cases were unusual, optimally-tended examples, and many *whitei* do
stop growing at 2.5-3". It just is possible for them to get larger, and
live comfortably, in smaller quarters. I don't want someone to say we
never warned you. :-)

PS. Both of the above examples were happy, friendly tail-waggers, always
up front begging for attention when we appeared. Obviously, they got it
in food and water changes.
