Re: How cold is too cold?

Is it possible to make a fish trap of any sort, one that will actually work effectively that is? I used to own a smelt trap a few years back that worked great on mivvows and such, but they have since stopped selling traps of this kind (I assume due to some complaint from the animal rights activists), and I can't find them anywhere. Anyone have ideas for a fish trap? I have a few ideas of my own but none that the average person can do, I myself could as my father owns a machine shop and it is pretty much at my disposal when he's not busy, but not all of us have a garage full of tools and machines.

Covering the pond with a tarp may preserve some of the heat and, of course,
one can place a heater in the pond as well. Good luck; hope you collect the
australe in time.
