A really good question Tim. I've always been bothered by the assumption that
the GH2 and Kutunse seem to be considered the same fish. Never any doubt
that they are what we think of as walkeri.

But when they both circulated in the Mid-Western US in the later 70s - early
80s. GH2 was here first. I can envision the particular scene in a CKA show
(circa '80 or '81) when Kutunse showed up. Like so many very attractive new
killies it got everybody all excited about the new kid on the block. A
couple keepers of GH2 eyed the Kutunse rather wistfully. Chuck Lutman and
Darlene (Krause) Weisman, Kutunse keepers, just kept grinning like Cheshire
cats.

Now this is the same territory which kept gardneri separate from gardneri
Nsukka for a while, but I think we may have been justified in keeping the
two walkeri apart.

All the best,

Scott
