Re: [OT] recruiting via killitalk

All those people are so protective of me :) I think we have really great Board Members and AKA memeber who stood my side. Paul is so great. He made really good points that I could not explain well enough. English is such a difficult language. There are tons of times people misunderstand me or I have hard time explaining thing well enough.

Good thing that this individual who sent me an email did not post it on the mailing list. I had a great conversation via email with this individual and he is not being a mad man or anything. So don't worry. Everyone has different views, and I guess he thought that it is not appropriate to share the local info to others who might not be in the area. But it is what he thought, and I am sure he has different views now by reading the posts here.

Especially BAS Board Members such as Paul and Turtle know about me that I am not really a person of recruiting. I do not think that the word, "recruiting" should not be around in this hobby. In BAS, I think people like to share the experiences or opportunities than trying to get more members. I did not know about Killietalk until I met people at BAS, I did not know about BAS until I met Paul through another mailing list. I do not think I would have been taking care of my tanks as I do now if I did not get to know those wonderful organizations and people.

Keeping the tanks is big part of my life now, and it really helps me go through the tough difficult days in foreign country or from tough job.. etc.. But I have been very happy to meet wonderful people who have same wonderful hobbies and have passions about it.

Anyway I should not be talking too much here. But my point is "Anyone other than Turtle and Catherine, want to congraduate me for my first killifish babies??????????????" I got so many emails about recruiting thing, but not about my first baby killiefish!!!! :) I have been so excited about it!!

That is it for now.

Oh one more thing, all who are keeping up with the wonderful mailing list, I surely appreciate all your efforts to help other hobbyists! :)

I'm sorry, but I think this is off the wall. A person asked about killie
keepers in New England and Michiko told the list about the Boston Aquairum
Society (BAS). I don't think Michiko did anything wrong.

And somebody thinks this is wrong? That's is crazy. The BAS in no way
competes with the AKA, it has killie keepers as members and I'm pretty sure
that some BAS members are also AKA members. This isn't a competition folks,
we are in the same hobby, the fish hobby.

Her posting was fish related, her posting was even killie related. We had
a killie speaker at a meeting in the fall. I most certainly don't see a
problem.

(and yes, I am on the board of the BAS but I'd say this even if I wasn't,
and I say it if it was about another club.)
