At the risk of putting off the PETA people, I distinctly remember that
100 degrees C. coagulated most animal protein. So, whassamatta with
get a cauldron going and dumping the frozen snail embryos and gravel
therein. Might make a nice base for an "escargot bouillabaisse". (I
have a sushi-slushy recipe that's dynamite!)

Boy was I smart to pass on a jar of those critters at the last club
auction.
