Re: Sand



If you want to use the sand as a substrate in a tank, try to get some of 
the sand used for sand blasting. If memory serves me well, the best size is 
#3. You should be able to get it at hardware stores. In NY I used to get it 
at Agway.

I personally would not use it for breeding annuals. My experience is not 
the same as some others. I have used sands such as green sand and got lots 
of eggs, but few if any survived the drying period (stored in peat, of 
course, after separating from the sand).
