Sodium or Calcium
I've decided to try Wright's double carbon filter. I am working on the
piping arrangement. Since my water is hard (TDS 450-500)I have a water
softener. In the past I have diluted tap water with rain which dilutes the
Chlorine compounds.I use the mix as is for rainforest fish but for Nothos
etc. I add salt to get the tds back up. With the carbon filter I won't have
to dilute the water for Notho's. My question is: Is it better to pipe the
calcium rich (pre softened) to the filter or should I pipe the sodium rich
(softened) water to the filter?
