The Nikon Cool Scan III is a good model for 35mm slides, can be
had used for $400. Another is the HP S20, it will scan negatives, 35mm
slides, and prints up to 4 x 6. available used at a very reasonable price.
Stay away from flat bed scanners for slides etc, Theya re not
worth the effort IMHO
