To the person with the snail issues:
botia type fish (clown loach) love snails, for manual removal float a
piece of lettuce overnight and in the morning it will likely be covered
with them, just scoop them out, also mine tend to put their eggs on the
floating plants if given the option so I put ones with big leaves in
each tank and pull them out periodically and trim off the leaves with
the eggs on them. Snails are a real pain. I know other fish eat them but
can't remember which. Some ornery individual bettas and some of my
killies have attacked and killed them, too.
Good luck! I hate it when snails get out of control.
