Bright Blue fish

My nephew is about 5 years old and I gave him a blue betta which recently
passed on. He loves the color blue, almost to the point of obsession, and
I'd like to get him another fish that is really blue, but more tolerant of
cool conditions (which I suspect is partly responsible for the early
demise of the betta).

A really blue, easy to keep killie would be ideal, but I can't think of
any species that fits that description. Does anyone have any suggestions,
killie or otherwise ?
