RE: snails v pupfish

I like to add snails to the 2.5 gal tanks that I hatch eggs in to keep it
clean for the few weeks the fish stay in there, but I don't want them there
when I hatch the next bag of peat, so I put the tank in the microwave for a
minute or so on high. No harsh chemicals, no snail eggs and no "ghost eggs".

Kribensis.

Get a pr, spawn them and just keep
dumping the fry into the tank with the
snails. Feed sparingly and wait. By the
time the kribs are adult they will of
cleared the tank of the MTS.

About 40 young kribs can clear a 1.2m
tank in 3 months provided the substrate
is fine enough for the kribs to dig
them out of it.
