raising australe on microworms

Hi all!

After a streak of bad luck I'm finally getting a pair of australe to =
live long enough to produce some viable eggs. The fry are housed in =
plastic drinking glasses (their hatching container) that is about a =
quarter filled with water (about an inch of water). After hatching, I =
added a small snail (quarter of an inch) and a little bit of java moss. =
Each morning the water is changed (about 3 - 4 changes of 75% - =
basically until all the snail droppings are washed out) and microworms =
are added. Plenty of living microworms are still seen in the evening. =
Temperature is about 72 F and the container is right near a fluorescent =
light. They seem to be growing quit slowly (unlike the Rivulus hartii or =
cryptocallus I've raised before)

About 2 weeks after hatching first one then another of my original trio =
of fry have died. Can australe fry be successfully raised on microworms =
alone? I've got about a dozen more eggs that eagerly waiting for me to =
find the right answer. What else might I be doing wrong?

Thanks.

Joseph.
