Re: Brine shrimp question



Gary,  Nevin here in St. Louis. I have had this problem before. The orange 
fluff are the dead brine shrimp. You're right. The problem = bad water 
usually either polluted, the wrong salinity, or the wrong temperature. The 
last time this happen to me, I found that the problem was a sticking 
thermostat on my heater which boosted the temperature to the lethal limit.  
Check the temperature several times a day. Sometimes a stuck thermostat will 
only stick occasionally which will raise your temperature for a few hours 
perhaps but enough to kill them. I hatch my bbs at 82-84 degrees. They hatch 
in 24 hours that way. See you later and good luck. Nevin
