Very easy.

You need to get an X-Window server running on your Windoze machine. There are a
couple of shareware servers which I have never used. I own Exceed. However an
X-Window server is an X-Window server.

Once this is installed on Windoze box, telnet over to the Linux box, set the
DISPLAY variable and then just run one of the graphic UNIX X-Window mail
programs. All X-Window programs are capable of vectoring the display to ANY
X-Window server given the IP address of that server.

Now this is a little harder if you are in a large corporation with lots of
security blocks. I have my own LAN of 5 machines, and I trust myself;-)

Note that this is far different then using the Linux box to serve MAIL to your
Windoze mail reader. With the system outlined above you are actually reading
the mail ON the Linux box, thus giving you the protection against virus. You
are only seeing the display on the Windoze system. As someone has already
pointed out there are a number of text based mail readers that will run on
Linux under a telnet session but this is just a bit too primitive for me.

It is even possible to install Netscape on Linux, vector the X-Window display
for it to the Windoze system and have every advantage of Netscape mail readers
with the viral protection.
