   Basically what you want is a non Microsoft E-Mailer.. .I don't know of 
any other than MS  taht uses the scripting language VBA that is the prime 
target of the virus spreaders...   I use Eudora, its a nice plain jane 
E-Mail program that does have a free mode...  You can get it from;
http://www.eudora.com . There are others out there as well...  But even 
with that ALWAYS use an AntiVirus scanner for your system and be careful 
with any E-Mail that show it has an attachment...  And even that isn't 
totally secure. There are virii you can pick up from some browsing...    A 
japanese programmer discovered a way to hit your machine from a web site 
you are browsing... It usually comes in through an entry into your 
favorites folder....  High Tech is really fun...
