RE: dying fry.......

Carrie,
Have you changed water in the tank recently?
Possibly something different about the make-up water or ammonia shock has
affected only the older fish.
Just a theory.

Subject: dying fry.......

Hello all !!!
I need some wisdom.I have a rearing tank that contains Aphyo. Striatums and
golden wonders. They are about 2 weeks old.My problem is that the golden
wonders are dying off. They don't appear to have velvet from what I can tell
as I pullrd one out that was dying and look ay him with a flashlight.I don't
really know how to explain their symptoms.Golden wonders are surface
dwellers, but when they get sick they are on the bottom of the tank. They try
to swim back to the surface, but start freaking out and Doing zig-zags and
flips and end up back on the bottom.I've added Quick Cure which contains
formalin and Machilite green.I don't see anything wrong with them on the
outside. They were all fine a few days ago, too.I have checked the
pH,ammonia, and nitrite to be sure also and tests turned out fine.Do any of
you all know if the ages of my breeders my be a factor ?They are about 2
years old ?This is the only thing I can think of because(as of now) the
Striatums look great.
Thanks for your time and ANY feedback is GREATLY appreciated !!!!
Carrie
