RE: SNAILS Al Brown

What might be more interesting about this is that your Notho fry had
instantaneous infusoria to feed on when the eggs hit the water. Courtesy of
the snails.

I had an interesting happening that I would like to share regarding snails.
I
received some notho palmqvisti eggs in peat about a month ago that were aged
about three months. I placed the peat into a hatching container and noticed
some snail shells in the peat. I didn't think anything of it and got a great
hatch from the eggs. On the second day I noticed the snail shells were
climbing up the walls. They (ramshorn) snails were still alive after being
stored in moist peat for 3 months.
