NEXT MEETING OF THE CHICAGO KILLIFISH ASSOCIATION
Hi to All,
The next meeting of the Chicago Killifish Association will be held at the
College of DuPage at 7:30 P.M. on Friday, September 13th. It will be held
in room 128D of the Open Campus Center. Please park in lot 10. It is
located on the Northwest side of the campus. For detailed driving
directions see the following web page:
http://www.aka.org/AKA/Clubs/ClubPages/CHIKA/ChiKA.htm
*** This meeting will feature Kurt Bihlmayer. He will be speaking on
Nothos, specifically Nothobranchius, East African survivor.
*** Former CKAer Linc Michael has promised to send a couple of N. rachovii
pairs to that meeting from South Carolina.
*** The club is also negotiating to bring in some neat killies [possibly
some Nothos] for our auction. This is a work in progress.
*** George Fryk will again bring several frozen foods (blood worms, brine
shrimp etc.) that he obtained at the pet show. They will be auctioned off
at the ChiKA meeting. All proceeds go to ChiKA. A few boxes and cold
packs will be available for loan. Interested parties might want to bring a
small cooler
with them to the meeting.
*** We will also have an intensive discussion of the tasks necessary to make
our Spring Show a success. All are welcome to participate and contribute!
For 2003, a Spring Show date of March 29th has been selected. Easter
is April 20th, 2003. Ken Mysliwiec [aka Magilla] will be the Show Chairman
for the 2003 Show.
*** See the Make-a-Pair section below. I will list your 'lonely hearts' for
the coming meeting if you send them to me by email. Correct nomenclature
will be your
responsibility. Also, include your contact information.
Try to bring potential members along-someone that we might interest in our
great hobby.
Remember, the auction supports the Club, so please make sure to bring
something for the auction: killifish, plants, food cultures or spare
equipment.
Make-a-Pair: (If interested, contact these people directly)

meeting if asked ahead of time.)
Wanted: A breeder male Ep. lamottei
