This is a hard question to really answer. Alot depends on the species
you intend to keep. Many Aphyosemions will do well in 2.5 gallon
tanks, others that are slightly larger and more aggressive will need at
least a 5 gallon tank for the pair, some of the bigger fish will require
a 10 or 20 gallon tank to really give them the proper room for breeding
and keeping aggression levels down, You need to be more specific on
what species you intend to keep for us to give you more info on tank
size required.
