Re: Skimmer

I helped Eric set up his 'Top Fathom' brand PVC Skimmers a dozen
years ago or so. NASA bought several of the large units to clean
the parachutes from missile boosters. Saw pictures of that. Appeared  
to be freshwater they were using. Possibly some slime that gets in the
chute. Then again maybe they gave it up as not applicable. They were
excited about if at the time though. I would think they used RO water  
for washing. Our water here is about 150 - 160. Don't get mich from a
clean tank. They do work well in a fry tank where I have overfed. Use
a sponge for the inlet and the excess is gone quickly. My older units
didn't do a thing in fresh hardly ever.
