I don't have many killies. Less than twenty varieties possibly.
But my flakefood is fresh and what I feed nearly everything
including the Piranhas. I have two tanks of Piranhas with live
guppies that are growing up with the man eaters. The 2"
Piranhas ignore the guppies and eat eagerly the flakefood.
Be sure your flakefood is not old. Mine is less than two
weeks from the oven or I won't sell it. I feed flakes first. The
live comes later. Many of my customers fish only eat one color.
Fish do get very spoiled and set in their ways. Flakes account
for about 80% of their diet. I am sure many wild-caught won't
consume other than live foods.
