All hobbies come together...
I keep carnivorous plants, Utricularia gibba in the rain barrels for my CPs and orchids (and now Killies) to eat mosquitoe larvae.
The native U. gibba game from the water garden, where some of the goldfish had spawned. Hence fry appeared in the barrels.
The ones I took into the other house died in the fire, but the ones I took to work thrived. The idea was to observe the color changes and fin development. They also got an
assist in growing since they didn't have to go slow their metabolism down for the Winter. They get daily water changes and the plants at work, some of them water garden tropicals,
like the fishy water.
