You are probably wright and I am again wrong.
I check in to this list between customers and calls throughout
the day and could well have missed or forgotten the original specs.  
I am often confused by some killie aquarists that wish 100% water
changes every day, and the others that accept very limited filtration.
The Catalina Powerheads are about 2 x 2 x1 1/2 inches. The small
sponge unit is 3 1/2 x 2" diameter. I normally bury it in the substrate
horizontally where only an inch or so is exposed. Or I surround it with
Java Moss. O sometimes hollow out a piece of driftwood and place it
over the buried filter unit.
