Re: DIY sponge filters



Hi, I have been watching this thread  with great interest. I've got both the hydro filters and my own. The Chicago Killifish Association has great info on making your own filters. My self I use a piece of copper tubing that I have sharpened the end sort of like a leather working tool. works for me.  I then fasten the sponge to a piece of slate with silicone sealer  Jim Randall

I don't find it easy to cut such a hole. Care to advise us?
