Usually Wright would be tagging onto my comment about now. However there is
also another curious thing about the Medaka.

The Medakafish Home Page http://biol1.bio.nagoya-u.ac.jp:8000/

relates how an observer watched a pair spawn. No eggs were extruded. Later
the female was found carrying fertilized eggs. Evidentially at least on
occasion they can internally fertilize the eggs!

If you ramble through that site you will be able to one-up a lot of us. :)

All the best!

Scott
