There is one school of thought that the sales to nonmembers is a way to help 
get them to become members. If that is the case, these are compatible 
objectives. If sales to non–members does not produce new members, it still 
promotes the hobby. The mission of the AKA is to promote the hobby, not 
necessarily to become as large as possible.

Article I-Name
The name of the organization shall be the American Killifish Association

Article II-Aims
The aims of this association shall be to promulgate, further and advance the 
propagation, study and conservation of Killifish (Oviparous Cyprinodontiform 
fish) and to promote fellowship among its members."
