Hi Bobby, Have you considered "bag buddies" or poly filter material?  These have been working quite well for shipping cichlids. I know that bag buddies have really increased the success rate when shipping delicate fish like Cyprichromis or Xenotilapia's, and alot of people swear by a small sugar cube size cut piece of poly filter. I guess it absorbs ammonia.  Might be worth considering for a trip to Japan.  Ron
