Re: Killi Lunacy

It is rumored that Ron Harlan called us an "elite
group of aquarists". To expand on that when I get
that "My God you are crazy" look I simply explain
these are species tanks, we do not cross breed our
fish because we don't want a bunch of mongrels. If you
say it with your nose high enough in the air and a
rawther snooty tone to your voice you can alienate
just about anyone and get them to leave you alone. If
you really want to impress them, go off on the
endangered species tangent and tell them we are
working as a group to prevent the these beautiful
animals from becoming extinct in our life time. Then
try to give them a 10 gal setup and some fish to get
them started. I can clear a room full of in-laws
quicker than anything you have ever seen. It works
better than trying to sell them Amway.

Simply put just tell them we are fish geeks, it
doesn't have to make sense, don't try to understand.
