Re: Conservation

Tim:

My idea was to have experts within the aka decide
which could be exported and which to protect as is.
Any profit would be to study further at each point
in question. Iften an area would be too valuable to risk,
It would would only be given protection pending further
studies. Natives would learn to care for them. I consider
experts on Killies ro already be in the aka. In the meantime
we can continue to do nothing. A herdman could destroy
a specie without even realizing. Just as a killie aquarists
works with special fishes, and sells only excess of the
more common varieties. Heaven forbid if a well meaning
agency or person turned Gambusia loose in some of those
areas. I'd like to see these wild fishes receive the same
or better care than a hobbyist provides in hos own tanks.
