Re: Conservation



I'm sorry to be a wet blanket, but this is all backward. The best way to 
preserve endangered fish is to buy up habitat or otherwise protect it from 
development. The last thing we all need is to get a reputation as collectors 
of endangered species, for any reason whatsoever. Universities and public 
aquariums can make a case for captive breeding; we cannot without giving the 
impression that we are just greedy collectors.
