All this talk about silent giant pumps is interesting. I had a new silent
giant pump that I had won at an auction years ago. It sat new in the original
box for years. I always thought it was just another "vibrator pump." I put it
into service about 3 months ago and it is great. Even though I have a blower
for most of my tanks, I use the silent giant to run about 12 tanks which it
does with ease. It's good to know about the string so I can clean it when it
clogs.
