Flourescent Tube Life

Tyrone wrote of a Phillips tube I am not familiar with.
The 'Color Tone 50' used to popular here. Now the 'Alto' is the
closest I feel to the apparent European version. The 'Alto' is a  
long life tube that should be great for at least 5 years with maybe  
a 15% fade. The Alto has green end caps and is close to early morning  
sunlight. They are about $6 at Home Depot with a great price of about  
$3 in a case of 30. I use a lot of these bulbs. They work with all plants
(different durations of course).
