Re: Off topic: sexing Apistogramma
I have had triple red females express very light triple red pattern and the
females never got more than 1.25 inches long while the males were 3-4
inches.
One suggestion... don't feed them baby live brine shrimp .... the shrimp
look like apisto fry so one of two things have happened for me. The first
was that the female would eat the fry thinking it was shrimp. The second
happened with one female (she guarded the shrimp until they dies a few hours
later).
