Problem with fish

Hi All,
    I have a pair of Epiplatys roloffi that I have had for a little over a week. I had noticed that the male seemed to have a rough look. I thought that perhaps it was just the way he was supposed to look (first time to actually see one). This evening he was lying on the sponge filter and would not move. I checked him over with my magnifying glass and his scales are sticking straight out and he has ulcers all over his body. He was eating good earlier today and acting okay. I know that this description is not as good as a picture but I don't have a digital camera yet. Any ideas on what this is? Any sites that have good pictures of fish diseases? I'm familiar with ick and don't believe that this is ick. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Phil
