I don't think his spirit was crushed; may the ego was a little bruised and
yes, we were much to eager to mentor and advise, ignoring his frustrations.
This is not a child but a 17 year old that should know by now that there are
some  very basic principles in
most everything including the breeding of killie fish. Yes we need young
people but
we are not desperate for any and all. Given a little time he may decide that
this is one place where you will get a lot of attention
from a lot of knowledgeable people who are very willing to share, albeit at
the expense of some lecturing. He is old enough to decide if he wants to
join us.
