What is my fish doing?
Well, I have a rather well equiped, maybe to well, 3 gallon Eclipse tank. It has a black sand substrate, floating duckweed, hornwart in 2 corners, with a little anacharis, 2 small floating mops, they are attached to styrofoam, some java in one corner, and some peat in another. I just went up a little while ago to feed my pair of Blue Panchax some BS, and the, what I believed to be the male, is just sitting in the sand, not doing a thing, except breathing. I immediately got worried because I had never seen a fish do this that is not a bottom feeder like a catfish, so I knocked a little on the side, and it didn't phase him one bit, he just sat there. I jumped at the tank, made lots of sudden movements to try and scare him, I did everything but stick my hand in there and poke him, but he won't budge. Could he be fertilizing an egg? Or, could I be wrong,a nd could that be the she, and she is maybe laying an egg?
