I think how much water change need to be done, depends
on individual condition.  If you do water change
often, there is no need to more than 50%.  If you
don't do water change often and the water quality is
bad, 100% probably works better.  I always removed the
peat on the bottom of the tank when doing water
change.  Sometimes, huge % water change stimulate
breeding.
