Re: Adult Brine Shrimp

Hi Gary,
I currently have (4) approx 25 gal plastic tubs devoted to raising adult
brine. They sit next to the house foundation (southeast exposure) under the
roof overhang (prevents rain from getting in) I estimate I harvest about 4-5
ounces of adult shrimp per week during the peak time (mid June - mid Sept)
and perhaps 2 ounces per week (May 1-June 15 and Sept 15 to Oct 30) or
perhaps about 5 lb for the season. They seem to feed exclusively on algae.
As long as one is satisfied with moderate production....nothing could be
easier. Also, the brine shrimp peak when my moina cultures invariably slow
down......................................Ron
